Prof Philippe Collin

Dr. Philippe Collin is an internationally recognized French shoulder surgeon and one of Europe’s leading specialists in shoulder arthroplasty, rotator cuff disorders, and surgical innovation. Since 2022, he has served as Head of Shoulder Surgery at the American Hospital of Paris. Prior to this appointment, he spent twenty years leading the Shoulder Unit at CHP Saint-Grégoire in Rennes, where he developed a high-volume, research-oriented department and trained fellows from around the world. A respected surgeon, educator, and researcher, Dr. Collin has held some of the most prominent leadership positions in the shoulder and elbow community. He served as President of the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow — SECEC — one of the leading international scientific societies in the field. He is also President of SOFEC, the French Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and a member of the Board of IBSES. These roles reflect his longstanding commitment to advancing shoulder surgery through education, research, international collaboration, and scientific exchange. Dr. Collin was ranked the number one orthopedic surgeon in Paris by Le Point magazine in 2023. His scientific contributions have received major international recognition, including the Hawkins Award from the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons in 2023, the Best Scientific Paper Award at the International Congress of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in Nagoya in 2013, and the Tour Eiffel d’Or from the City of Paris in 2024.
Dr. Collin has authored more than 127 PubMed-indexed publications, over 100 scientific papers, and multiple book chapters. He has presented 12 scientific papers at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is regularly invited to lecture at major international meetings. His research focuses on massive rotator cuff tears, the biomechanics and longevity of reverse shoulder arthroplasty, and the integration of new technologies into surgical planning and practice. A pioneer in digital surgical innovation, he was the first surgeon worldwide to use Google Glass for a live surgical transmission between France and Japan in 2013. He was also among the earliest adopters of HoloLens mixed-reality navigation for shoulder arthroplasty planning in 2020. He performs approximately 800 procedures each year, including 400 arthroscopies and 200 shoulder arthroplasties, while continuing to teach and mentor surgeons internationally.

Deborah Eastwood

Prof Deborah Eastwood

Professor Deborah Eastwood is a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with dual appointments at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
She also serves as an Associate Professor at University College London. She was President of the British Orthopaedic Association (2022–2023) and previously served as President of the European Paediatric
Orthopaedic Society, reflecting her outstanding leadership at both national and international levels.
Her research interests include developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) and neuromuscular disorders, and she is a strong advocate for early screening and patient-centred care.
Professor Eastwood has developed extensive international collaborations through clinical fellowships, visiting professorships, and global educational initiatives in paediatric orthopaedics. In her ‘spare’ time, she enjoys watching sport – more than participating these days – and making the most of life in London.

Marie Gdalevitch

Dr Marie Gdalevitch

Dr. Marie Gdalevitch, MD, FRCSC, is a Canadian orthopedic surgeon specializing in limb lengthening, deformity correction, and complex limb reconstruction in both adult and pediatric populations. She is the Founder of the Canadian Limb Lengthening Center (CLLC) and Co-Owner of CREOQ Surgery Center in Montreal.
She serves as Chief of Orthopedics at Verdun Hospital, where she is actively involved in clinical innovation and surgical education.
Dr. Gdalevitch completed advanced fellowship training in limb lengthening and deformity correction at the International Center for Limb Lengthening in Baltimore (USA), as well as a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney (Australia).
Her clinical practice spans pediatric congenital deformities and adult limb reconstruction, including limb lengthening, deformity correction, management of bone loss, treatment of nonunion and malunion, and complex bone infection. She has extensive experience in managing complex multiplanar deformities using both external fixation and advanced internal lengthening systems. In addition, she has developed a specialized practice in cosmetic limb lengthening, reflecting a unique integration of reconstructive expertise and aesthetic principles.
Dr. Gdalevitch is an internationally invited speaker and is recognized for her practical, decision-focused approach to complex reconstructive surgery. She is also actively involved in humanitarian work,
contributing to international initiatives focused on improving access to limb reconstruction care in underserved populations. In addition, she is engaged in innovation as a co-founder of an AI-driven healthcare startup focused on multimodal clinical intelligence, and co-host of the podcast Bone & Beauty, exploring the intersection of reconstruction, aesthetics, and transformation.
Through her clinical work, leadership, global outreach, and teaching, she is committed to advancing the field of limb reconstruction and expanding access to specialized care worldwide.

Alan Getgood

Dr Alan Getgood

Mr. Al Getgood is a Specialist Knee Surgeon at Fortius Clinic London focussing on the full spectrum of knee surgery excluding knee replacement procedures. He has extensive experience in dealing with both professional and amateur athletes through his past roles as Chief of Surgery at the world renowned Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic in Doha, Qatar, and as Fellowship Director at the internationally recognised Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine clinic in London, Ontario, Canada. Originally from Northern Ireland, he underwent training in Edinburgh, Cambridge and Coventry before moving to Canada in 2012.

Mr. Getgood’s clinical practice focuses on complex soft tissue reconstruction of the knee. He has been successful in securing over 10 million dollars in peer reviewed and industry funded grants to build his pre-clinical and clinical research program focusing on complex ligament reconstruction and joint preservation. Particular achievements include being awarded the J Edouard Samson Research award from the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation in May 2021, the premier research award for career research in Canadian Orthopaedics. He also received the American Journal of Sports Medicine Hughston Award in 2023, the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine (AOSSM) 2019 O’Donoghue Sports Injury Award, the 2019 Jan Gillquist Award and the 2017 Albert Trillat Young Investigator award (both from the International Society of Arthroscopic Knee surgery and Orthopaedic Sports medicine -ISAKOS), all for the ISAKOS/OREF funded multicentre STABILITY study investigating the use of lateral extra-articular tenodesis in ACL reconstruction. Mr. Getgood has authored over 225 peer-reviewed articles and numerous book chapters. He has given over 300 national and international conference presentations, lectures and demonstrations. He was the 2025 ISAKOS Biennial Congress program Chairman. Mr. Getgood is a member of the ACL Study Group, the Herodicus Society, Magellan Society, ESSKA, ICRS, MenIN Study Group and International Knee Dislocation Study Group. He was the 2019 ICRS Annual congress clinical program chair, the ACL study group program chair in 2023, deputy program chair for ISAKOS in 2023 and was a member of the program committee for ESSKA 2020 biennial congresses.

Prof Bennie Lindeque

Professor Bennie G. P. Lindeque

Dr. Bennie G. P. Lindeque is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and an internationally recognized authority in musculoskeletal oncology, limb salvage surgery, and complex musculoskeletal infection. He provides advanced care for patients with both benign and malignant bone tumors, soft tissue conditions and unique infections. Dr. Lindeque received his medical degree from the University of Pretoria and completed his specialist Orthopedic training, earning an MMed (cum laude) and a PhD. He went on to pursue advanced fellowship training in musculoskeletal tumor surgery at the University of Florida and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Over the course of his career, he has held senior academic and clinical leadership roles in both South Africa and the United States, contributing significantly to the development of Orthopedic Oncology services, tissue banking programs, and bone infection units.
Widely regarded as a leader in the management of complex bone and joint infections, Dr. Lindeque is one of a small number of specialists with deep expertise in non tuberculous mycobacterial musculoskeletal disease and receives national and international referrals for these challenging cases. His research has influenced clinical practice in areas including biopsy accuracy, cryotherapy, limb salvage techniques, infection prevention, and wound management. He has authored more than 100 peer reviewed publications, numerous textbook chapters, and has served on editorial boards and as a reviewer for leading Orthopedic and Oncology journals.
In addition to his clinical and research contributions, Dr. Lindeque is a highly dedicated educator. He plays a central role in undergraduate and graduate medical education, oversees resident research programs, and has developed innovative mentorship models to support academic and professional development. Known for his commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and lifelong learning, Dr. Lindeque continues to advance patient care, surgical education, and academic leadership across diverse healthcare environments.

Gregor Mockel

Dr Gregor Möckel

Dr. Gregor Möckel was born in 1972 in Dresden, Germany. After completing high school and studying medicine at Humboldt University in Berlin, he earned his doctorate in 1999 with a thesis titled “Biokinetic and Biocinematics Gait Analysis in Patients with Total Knee Arthroplasty.”
Dr. Gregor Möckel has been working as a hip specialist since 2004, with a particular focus on minimally invasive procedures (arthroscopy). He has played a key role in establishing this technique over the past 20 years. Nationally and internationally, he has contributed to the development of hip-preserving arthroscopic and open surgery through lectures, scientific journal and book articles, as an instructor in courses and workshops, through the development of surgical instruments, and in live surgeries. In addition, he served for many years as chair of the AGA Hip Committee. His focus is on providing individually tailored, optimal treatment for sports injuries or congenital conditions, particularly of the hip joint, such as femoroacetabular impingement, dysplasia, and hip osteoarthritis. Dr. Gregor Möckel is an expert in hip arthroscopy, having performed over 5,000 procedures to date.
He practices in Berlin at his own clinic and currently performs surgeries at three hospitals in Berlin and the surrounding area. He spends most of his free time with his large family in the mountains and by the sea.

Andy Molloy

Dr Andy Molloy

Andy Molloy studied at University of Leeds and carried out basic and specialist training on the Mersey rotation. This culminated in a fellowship with Dr Mark Myerson in USA.
He is a Consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery, working at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation, Spire Liverpool Hospital and HCA Wilmslopw since 2007. He has served as a Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. He has run a foot and ankle fellowship since 2009.
He has a strong research interest with many peer-reviewed publications, book chapters plus international and national presentations plus research prizes, including the Roger Mann award on two occasions. He is regularly invited to lecture across Europe and USA to learned societies.
He previously served on the awards committee of AOFAS, the Scientific Committee of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and as the Co-Chair of the Outcomes committee for BOFAS.

Professor Daniel Moya

Professor Daniel Moya

Dr. Daniel Moya is an orthopedic surgeon who graduated with honors and holds a subspecialty in shoulder surgery. He is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His interest in shoulder surgery dates back nearly 35 years, when he established the first team exclusively dedicated to Shoulder Surgery in Argentina at the University Hospital of Buenos Aires.
His professional relationship with Dr. Charles Rockwood allowed him to witness firsthand the so-called “explosion of interest” in shoulder pathology and the early development of shoulder arthroplasty.
Driven by a strong commitment to teaching, Dr. Moya has been deeply involved in the dissemination and advancement of shoulder surgery throughout Latin America. He served as President of the Argentine Association of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (2004), President of the Latin American Association (2011), and President of the International Congress of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (2019).
He currently serves as Secretary of the International Board of the subspecialty. Dr. Moya developed a Postgraduate University Course in the specialty and has organized numerous online courses, cadaveric workshops, and recurring scientific meetings, including the Patagonia Shoulder and Elbow Course.
His professional practice encompasses not only shoulder surgery but also various research initiatives and the implementation of innovative techniques, such as the medical application of shock wave therapy, a field in which he is internationally recognized as an authority. He currently leads the team dedicated to this treatment within the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the British Hospital of Buenos Aires.
Since 1994, Dr. Moya has been invited as a speaker at national and international conferences and courses in 33 countries. He has authored numerous publications in national and international scientific journals, serves as a reviewer for scientific publications, and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Regenerative Science.
At this stage of his career, a significant portion of his efforts is devoted to mentoring young surgeons, fostering the transmission of the humanistic values upheld by previous generations of masters, and promoting the international integration of national shoulder and elbow surgery associations.

Mr Vris

Mr Alex Vris

Alex Vris is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Royal London Hospital in the United Kingdom. He specialises in limb reconstruction, which includes complex limb trauma, orthoplastics, bone infection, non-union and deformity correction.

He enjoys training and teaching during his clinical practice, as an honorary senior lecturer at the Queen Mary University of London, and in national and international orthopaedic courses.

In his own time, he does humanitarian work as a surgeon in austere environments around the world.
