SAOA 2025 Delegate Registration

SAOA members. Please have your membership number ready to register. 

Physiotherapists/Researchers/Nurses, Practising Orthopaedic Surgeons – non SAOA members

Invited International Speakers & Carousel Presidents. Please use your email address to register.

REGISTRATION IS INCLUSIVE OF:

• Admission to scientific talks
• Access to the trade/exhibition hall
• Catering during coffee breaks and lunchs on the days for which you are registered
• Access to the E-poster area
• Admission to the Networking function onsite on Monday, 1 September, from 17:00 – 19:00. Please indicate your planned  attendance during the registration process.

REGISTRATION IS EXCLUSIVE OF:

• Transport / travel / flights and accommodation
• Please book and pay directly with your preferred supplier and view the congress page for accommodation options
• VAT will be shown and added to the final invoice and total during the registration
• An additional social event is available to all delegates on Tuesday, 2 September 2025. Space is limited. Limited to 2 tickets per delegate. 18:00 – 20:00. Padel at Africa Padel Brooklyn, you will receive a link and a notification following your registration to also register separately for this event. This event is only available to registered SAOA 2025 delegates.

The SAOA would like to offer an additional opportunity for delegates to participate in another social event, as members and colleagues and invited guests have expressed an appetite for more networking opportunities at the SAOA congresses. No transport is arranged to this activity, please make your own way to: Africa Padel, Brooklyn. The activity is scheduled from 18:00 – 20:00.

Participation is not limited to members, includes all SAOA delegates, the only condition for participation is that you must be a registered delegate either invited guest, speaker, Exco or any other delegate. Delegates can either register to play, R180 per player (Limited to two tickets per delegate) or just be a spectator. (Only registration no payment required.) Drinks and snacks will be provided.

Delegates can register in 3 categories

Padel – I am active and a competitive player (Competitive)

Padel – I prefer a friendly game (Friendly)

No padel – I prefer to be a spectator (Cheerleader)

Participation in this event is voluntary and outside of congress academic hours. I agree to and understand that any injury, loss or damage during this activity is my own responsibility, and I confirm that I am a registered SAOA 2025 delegate.

Limited to two per delegate, choose one for your self and two if you have an accompanying person or colleague joining you.

Please remember late & on-site registration after Thursday 28 August will be charged at an additional R575 per person, including VAT. The Late & On-site registration for daily attendance will be charged at an additional R250.00 p/p incl VAT.

Allied Health must provide proof of status before picking up your badge on-site. Those unable to provide proof of status will be asked to pay the full registration price.

• To receive a full refund, you must cancel your registration by Friday, 15 August 2025
• Written requests for registration refunds must be on or before Friday, 15 August 2025
• All congress cancellations received by Friday, 15 August 2025 will receive a full refund less an R575.00 administration fee.
• No refunds will be made after Friday, 15 August 2025.
• Refunds will be processed after Congress.
• Refunds by bank transfers may incur processing fees from your bank over which we have no control. No refunds are given for no-shows at the South African Orthopaedic Congress.
• Full terms and conditions will be available for review on the online registration portal during your online registration.
